What is the firm's role in the work pass application process?

Our role is to:

  • Advise you on the appropriate work pass type (e.g., Work Permit, S Pass, Employment Pass) based on the job role and the candidate’s profile.
  • Prepare and submit the necessary application(s) to the relevant government authority (e.g., Ministry of Manpower – MOM).
  • Coordinate all required documentation from the employer and the foreign candidate.
  • Handle follow-ups and respond to queries from the regulatory body.

The most common work passes for foreign workers are:

 

  • Work Permit (WP): Generally for semi-skilled or unskilled workers in specific sectors (e.g., Construction, Manufacturing, Services). Subject to quotas and levies.
  • S Pass (SP): For mid-level skilled employees. Subject to quotas and minimum qualifying salary/criteria.
  • Employment Pass (EP): For foreign professionals, managers, and executives. Based on fixed monthly salary, qualifications, and assessment by the relevant authority.

Key responsibilities often include:

 

  • Paying salaries on time and according to the law.
  • Providing adequate housing (where required).
  • Purchasing medical insurance and a Security Bond.
  • Ensuring the foreign worker attends all mandatory medical examinations and interviews.
  • Paying the monthly Foreign Worker Levy (for Work Permit and S Pass holders).
  • Arranging and paying for repatriation upon termination of employment.

Our service fee does not include government-mandated fees which are paid directly by the employer, such as:
